Four Stitches Cardholder

Bi-fold cardholder in painting leather with a distressed 17th-century-inspired tapestry print. The surface carries a worn, painterly quality with areas of exposed base leather visible through the printed layer. Our four stitches appear on the front flap; the opposite of a label.

Interiors: Since the 1990s at Maison Margiela, interior fabrics and decorative surfaces have been reappropriated as unexpected materials of dressmaking. Removed from their domestic context, tapestry and upholstery references are transformed through garments and accessories.
