Four Stitches Card Case

Envelope card case in painting leather with a distressed 17th-century-inspired tapestry print. The allover print depicts a classical scene, deliberately aged so that the image appears to crack and peel. Our four stitches appear on the front; the opposite of a label.

Interiors: Since the 1990s at Maison Margiela, interior fabrics and decorative surfaces have been reappropriated as unexpected materials of dressmaking. Removed from their domestic context, tapestry and upholstery references are transformed through garments and accessories.
