Assemblage Contrast Waistband Wool Trousers

Wide-leg trousers in virgin wool and wool in a two-fabric assemblage. The upper waist and waistband are constructed in a contrasting black wool, meeting the navy body at a raw, exposed seam at the hip. The visible join is an intentional element of the construction. Side slash pockets and two rear welt pockets. Our four stitches appear at the back; the opposite of a label.

Assemblage: Disparate materials, garments and references are brought together to form a new composition. Their original identities remain visible within the finished object. The resulting tension between elements becomes part of the design.
